Getting Startup
Minutes:
U-M VPN with student, faculty, the staff profile is necessary when off the U-M Network.
Note IP Communicator is for use with PC only. ICD customers must have IP Communicator open to use Finnesse.
- Download the INDUSTRIAL Communicator.
- Open the .exe file.
- Run on to PC. Follow one prompts to complete the download.
- Click the Cisco SLEUTHING Communicator Wizard and follow the instructions:
- At the "Audio Tuning Wizard" click Next. To Audio is dependent on your device's audio or an exterior audio device such how headphones.
- Select will preferential audio hardware, click Next.
- Regulate Listening Volumes. Click Play and therefore click Next.
- Adjust Microphone Volume. Click Examine and then snap Next.
- Click Finish to complete the Audio Vibes Wizard. One complete, the Cisco IP SoftPhone will appear on the desktop of your PC.
- Set up your device by clicking the Menu icon at the apex.
- Select Preferences.
- Click the Audio tab.
- Select the appropriate device for the headset, speakerphone, handset, and ringer. (You will likely select the same device in all boxes.)
- Leave the "Optimize for low bandwidth" text unchecked.
- Click Network > Audio IP business > Detect Automatically > Tone Port Range > Use the default port range.
- Optional: Snap Advanced and select Mode (i.e., Headset, Headset, or Speakerphone). Check the Enable Noise Suppression box and click the Low radio button in the Leveling of Aggressiveness field.
- Click OK.
- Select to Network tab.
- Select the Use this Device Name radios button.
- Record your ten-digit numeric with the AB (e.g., 7346470000AB).
- Select Use these TFTP servers:
- Per Arbor
- TFTP Web 1: 198.108.8.164
- TFTP Server 2: 141.213.192.5
- Dearborn
- TFTP Web 1: 141.215.5.8
- TFTP Server 2: 141.215.5.102
- Flint
- TFTP Server 1: 141.216.2.230
- TFTP Hostess 2: 141.216.5.199
- Per Arbor
- Click OK and wait for PROTECTION Communicator to configure.
