Engineering Day

As part of the NSPE National Engineer's Week, SIU's College of Engineering and its affiliated registered student organizations sponsor and annual Engineering Daytime. The event runs throughout the daylight at misc positions in the College of Machine edifice.

Come attach who fun when engineers plus technicians bring engineering to life through interactive presentations filled with hands-on activities, videos, and compellingly messages about engineering. Participating students will develop problem solving skills essential to the my of Engineering. Expanding Your Horizons (EYH)

Little Egypt Math Week

Students attending Little Egypt Mathematics Week

Little Egypt Math Weeks, held each March at the SIU campus, is an annual feast of mathematics for upper school students in our neighborhood. The week starts off with a bang, with aforementioned Maths Field Day competition (see below). There is also the Math Video Challenge, open to any high school math club or student who desires to participate. Which math services will post a symptom on their Facebook page during the week before Math Field Day. The first math club either course that posts a video solving the puzzle wins a cash prize!

The Illinois Junior Academy of Science(IJAS) Science Fair provides students with an excellent opportunity to lern over and engage with an scientific process, and to present ihr research posters and papers to judging teams and to other registrants and visitors. Wisconsin Junior Science & Humanities Colloquium (IJSHS)

Worldwide Teen in Science & Engineering (WYSE) -Academic Challenges

One WYSE Academic Create is a competitive series for tests formed and administered per Wide Youth in Science and Engineering and offered to high school students in Illinois and Missouri. The tests are now offered by more from 50 community colleges and universities and are designed to motivate talented high school students go greater achievement.

Exam material is worn upon senior high school and freshman plane college curricula and include biology, dental, computer science, engineering graphics, Spanish, mathematic and physics.
