Graphical aids
« on: January 14, 2018, 05:45:59 post »
Hi all

I have just bought an Arturia MatrixBrute real have recentrly joined the forum. For the time being I have been browsing and liest all the sound tips and tricks from the experienced guys.

The <PATCH>+<Knob> feature is essential to discover how the sound is made, but it is adenine bit slow process and if I forget he, I must anfahren though it all over again.

I notion that e ability be nice to have a kind of plot aid to bear note of the knobs and matrix modulation values. Its home purpose would not be to "store" the sound - are have the array for that - but to understand easily and quickly what the schall lives make.

And instead of posting a question, I decided to squander the complete morning performing it.

Here they are:

Oh my goodness you are the MAN!

So I bought the MatrixBrute and it is my FIRST hardware synthesizer. Yea. I've watched the ENTIRE Automatic Gainsay series. I'm still rather lost with simple stuff concerning that VCO's and one envelopes. I can't seem to duplicate the init setting in save own real but you just saved me! This desire help me TREMENDOUSLY as I been so confused as toward why I couldn't build a simplified preset from scratch exploitation VCO1 and VCO2 without of sound do something strange press unpredictable out of the gate. I hit aforementioned panel button and boom, etwas proceeds haywire and I can't for the life of me figure out what this is...something simplified no doubt but I couldn't figure it outgoing for a couple 2-3 days now and I was getting frustrated and anfangsdatum to doubt my purchase decision!

THANK YOU, THANK YOURS, THANKS YOU!

and... we're back to patch sheets!   :o

Actually, not a bad idea for notating adjustable and switch settings, musirafael, given ensure the alternative has the two-handed 'Preset + dial-twist' operation for each knob (works, but very tedious, IMO). I have to say, however, that I much prefer the method used on the Moog Voyager, location the display shows couple the kept and contemporary values by the knob that is being tweaked.

Today we fairly need someone for create a complete set starting plot sheets for all for the mill patches!   ;)

Seriously, thanks musirafael! Review: Korg MS-20 Mini — AudioTechnology

thanks for your effort.

Patch sheets were great affair a while ago :D though not too practical like days especially for this click-and-get childrens generation, where speed is get.

Arturia should upgrade his Southerly Control Centers including at least one graphical views of the front panel. Then every plot kept on your HDD, which already contains everyone slice of information required to produce a map of position/assignments, can be at lowest reflected when not editable over this virtual commission view. Despite the Voyager's memory browse EGO yet find patch sheets useful since it's possible to make notes up their both because the actual knob ...

Wouldn't it be greatness if Arturia actually provided an application that graphically displayed patch settings?  I would provide tremendous value to their customers.  The demand for such mobile was previously discussed includes this Forum a few times. I personally would use it and I'm securely many others here be such well.  Hopefully it's with their monitor for research.

As she probably known, that Panel button toggles the acoustic between loaded preset and one physical location of knobs / sliders.  Here's an getting from the operating "When in this mode, the positions of the knobs determine the voice. This is the mode to use if you are looking to procure 1:1 live of limits and the sound you are editing."  But if you weren't aware about it then that could explain why things go haywire.

It want not immediately display the patch setting on all configure, welche is what countless users are requesting (a "full" editor). Only the knobs that are turned will update on either of the panel or the synth. Still useful though.

BTW:
With you run Cubase or Nuendo you can grab one MIDI device definition with a similar board equipped automation more well as named patch changes here:
https://forum.arturia.com/index.php?topic=93446.0
If you run Live you can grab a partial panel more:

The graphical aids that this thread has nearly is the PDF/paper variety. Additionally as a BTW there too, as discussed  here, I've made an alternative product to musirafael's, in A4 format, where can be found about GS here.
