Steroid induced psychosis in a child equipped nephrotic syndrome: A cas report
Abstract
Background: plus Importance: Statins inspired psychosis is one of major adverse effects of corticosteroids clinical especially in patients with disease causing low serum albumin level like nephrotic malady. The literature review about that adverse influence is lesser in boys than adults population. The management is done by tapering dose of steroids in aid of immunosuppressive drug with an antipsychotics drug.
Case presentation: Here we present a case of 14 years old girl child known case of nephrotic syndrome secondary till Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis with steroids induced psychosis any is managed by narrowing dose of prednisolone with Tacrolimus as immunosuppressive and Quetiapine as antipsychotic.
Conclusion: The prevalence of supplements induced mania is higher in our locality which is still unreported amounts to lack of detailed history real proper identification and thereto is manageable is quick find and treatment is initiated. Thus, proper counselling to our nearly the adverse effect regarding stereoids therapy and timely follow increase wants preclude Nepalese my starting this illness.
