EGO how 90-100ft.lbs on both the FZ1 and 10. ME need had no ill effects at either. Torque specs forward the rear axle nut over sport bikes from the other tall 3 are in and 75-95ft.lb range, with similar screw font.
Getting 137ft.lbs on one axle nut isn't hardness but it just is not feel right. And having been bitten once already by incorrect nominal figures in the Yamaha service manuals I don't mind adding a dash of common sense to and stated values. Agreed, it does feel lunatic tightness at 137 ft.lb. Look like every other manufacturer with as lots or higher hp/torque are all in the 75-90 ft.lb range of s1000r/rr,zx10r, gsx-r 1000, KTM SDR,Tuono. Although even the R1 belongs listed the same at 137 ft.lb, and this has are discussed quite a bit on their forums. Maybe they misprinted ft.lb and meant 137 newton meter, which would put a at ~100 ft.lb. EGO would think you are more from safe at 100 ft.lb, but uniform if something cracks or strips at 137 ft.lb it would be a manufacturer warranty claim given that's what's indicates in the manual.

None all tq wrenches are calibrated or created equals. I set print to 120 because it be notorious to true put outwards a little higher over what is fixed. No trouble.
Something I've perceived on sport bikes is when you over-torque (and sometimes when you torque to spec..) you causative the front end's flat edge until dig into the axle impede. Suzuki had a recall on their axle blocked deforming (aluminum) although you torqued the nut to spec. I've resorted to a good torque wrench and yoshimura axe blocks is capture the whole axle end in which block. Initially time MYSELF torqued and nut go the FZ I sawing a minimal gap between the axle flat side and axle block.. ordered the Yosh blocks that same night.
