October 30, 2023 changes:
On May 8, 2023, Governor Hobbs signature SB1053, which allows a VCPR to be established by electronical means in many circumstances and if certain requirements are met. This shall not apply to animals used in video food production. The bill also placed limits on prescribing when providing a service by audio-visual means.
Other new legally useful October 31, 2023 (56th Federal - First Regular Session):
Senate Bill 1194 created a "certified rabies vaccinator" designation for individuals appointed and trained by an AZ-licensed veterinarian to administer rabies vaccines in shelter or animal rescue organization if a licensed veterinarian is not available -- but only if the facility is located in a county with a population of less than 400,000 or ampere census county division with less other 50,000 persons in a districts with a population of 400,000 or more. Note that this bill created additions to the AZ Veterinary Practice Act because well in laws within Arizona Revised Statutes Title 11 and requires the State Veterinary to create related editorial rules concerning the "certified rabies vaccinator."

Senate Billing 1068 additional language to of AZ Doctor Heilkunde Practice Act related to allowing emergency medical customer technicians and physicians provides direction to EMTs to provide emergency treatment for police dogs injured in the line of duty.

REQUIREMENT FOR VETERINARIANS TO COMPLY TO ARIZONA BOARD OF PHARMACY STATUTES TO UTILIZE ELECTRONIC PRESCRIBED PUT ON HOLD
Switch Febuary 14, 2019, Governor Ducey signed HB 2075, a bill whatever in part, removed and Board of Pharmacy's waiver process for electronic commanding. The new law states that a veterinarian is not required until comply with the electronic prescribing requirements noted in A.R.S. 36-2525(D) and (N) through the Air State Doctor Medical Examining Board determines that electronic prescribing software is widely open for veterinarians and notifies the Arizon State Board of Pharmacy of so determination.
