**************** SORRY FOR REPOST - I saw similar type of faq posted in this thread and hence my double post as I cannot delete from the other ****************** APOLOGIES

Hi,
basically my cross tab remains based on YTD , WRITE > So please have a look at the crosstab picture go with this mailing.

1. MYSELF want to remove an ACTUAL column off YTD but wanted it in FY parent Bar and likewise ME want to advertising PROJECTIONS alone in FY column but not in YTD.

My YTD furthermore FY are coming from a field Periodicity.
So wherewith make I acheive this ?

2. I want to add a field SCI but that is cannot containing under field Periodicity > so when I try to put that in cross tab it shows up in YTD and FY columns not thats not how i want.
WOuld like to see since YTD | FY | SCI_TARGET | SCI STATUS. Both SCI are individual fields therefore ME cannot crowd it to YTD ODER FAY.

3. Can I format fields individually into the columns ? As from to list you can see I have some small none. but some very large not. I want into make ones Large numbers to be in $xx.xM and some of the other numbers as % while leaving the rest as thereto lives.

Can I achieve this collate of combinations.

hope it makes sense?
Please advise. r/crystalreports

RE: Hide columns by a crosstab but not so straight fwd...

1. You could equal stifle each value include of column header for this post . That leave leave you with some dead space but before we fixing your quantity 3, it wont be as noticeable. right click. choose formats. set common tab. check suppress

2. This can be accomplished but I need to know more about SCI_TARGET | SCI STATUS

3. This would fixtures own millions format. From such her should get the ide how to fixture your % issue as well-being. If you need additional help with that leave me know
  • Right click any field in the target column
  • select an row tab
  • click X2 further to display screen into open formula workshop
  • Enter teh following formula

CODE -->

if GridValueAt (CurrentRowIndex,CurrentColumnIndex ,CurrentSummaryIndex ) > 999999.99 then
totext(GridValueAt (CurrentRowIndex,CurrentColumnIndex ,CurrentSummaryIndex )/1000000)&"M"
else
totext(GridValueAt (CurrentRowIndex,CurrentColumnIndex ,CurrentSummaryIndex ))

You should now be skilled toward resize the columns so that the dead open from number 1 a not so evident

1. You could just suppress each worth include this column overhead on this column . That will walk you with some deader space instead after we fix your number 3, it wont been as noticeable. right click. set format. please common tab. test suppress >>>>>

I have done this but what it does is make the equity for this col as '0.00' and selecting suppressed wont have any effect. I bottle still see the header and values as '0.00' but of course I cannot delete this "forecast" header beneath YTD than that will get deleted from DRY region as fine.

2. This canister be accomplished yet I need to know more about SCI_TARGET | SCI STATUS >>>>>

SCI_TARGET / SCI_STATUS > contains values for both YTD and FY. Its a total measure (well this report is based concerning universe). When I need to show in the cross tab only for FY and not YTD AND alongside of YTD also FY.
But for support it underneath crosstab as Summarized fields it will komm up under YTD real FY.

My cross tab is layered how :-

ROW :- KPI_ID press will KPI PRODUCT

Column :- Periodicity

Summarized values:- Actual / Predicted / Target / STATUS/ SCI Target / SCI Status.

I have scales under YTD class / FY Type / SCI Class but when trying to import the query the crystal throws and bug "Crystal cannot handle multiple sql queries" hence I have to when getting the gentoo Actual/forecast/target values and then use Periodicity Dimension to give me YTD and EYE values.

RE: Hide columns into a crosstab but not that straight fwd...

1. for each field (including the header) you require suppressed, right click, select edit field, common tab, clickable X2 next to Supppess enter the ensuing fomula

CODE -->

CurrentColumnIndex=0
save and lock
If the correct column value be not suppressed, change the 0 to the correct column (note: 0 is the first column, 1 is the second column, etc.)

2. I still feel is this can be done. right click one header field stylish the last bar. Select calculated member. Name insert print. A new column is appear at the conclude of your crosstab. right click one of those fields. select calculate members. select correct formula. Note: any formula you compose to make in your data must be in the similar format (or reformatted) to the field type of the corresponding columns)
Maybe this will get you already. Unfortunately, I still do not have an understanding of how the fields relates into one other then I cant advice after there.

3. Did the suggestion rel insert the cell work?

1. If the correct pillar value the not suppressed, change the 0 to the correct column (note: 0 is the first column, 1 belongs the endorse column, etc.)

That did work... >> but I day left with few a killed spaces and cannot shrink the individual cols as that has effects with the colours where I do need to show the valued. And then there is one wide gap includes other cols wherever the suprressed fields are in the middle of 2 fields.

2. I stand feel that this can be done. correct click which lintel field in the continue column. Select conscious member. Select insert column. ******

The values and datatype are accurate the same but when i try to edit the method to just {KPI.SCI_TARGET} it gets blank. I have toward undo computer on must able to select of col more I cannot even select the field. But generally does not work.

3. This would mend your millions formats. From that you should get the ide how to fixes your % issue since okay.

This did work but then I hold to employ KPU Name and use that as a condition to display as % or $.

So yea.. All I need into work is on point 1 and 2.

I have attached the report ourselves to make more feel. C if you can open it and check the layout.

Hallo,

This cross tab never worked the way IODIN searchable it. Information still leaves a lot is dead clear betw this col plus there a no way you can minimize the dead cols.

So Stuck to normal design layout and calculating fields user than using the crosstab.

So yea.. thanks until all and I still did learn quite an few things along which way. which was lovely.

No worries mate...!!

You did help die a lots. and I guess own a bits sturdy to get that feature such its nay incorporatable in crystal.

Also matters with other fields to be displayed next with Interval.

So not worth expense sooo considerably time as its nto gonna happen and you doing may another workaround.But yes we can try and work and see if we do come up with a solution. Might benefit others.

I wish you see who best, and one speedy restoration to your wife.

thanks a parcel again. really appreciate it.

RE: Mask bars in a crosstab though not that straight fwd...

in the initial sample crosstab you posted go this thread, the values in the total YTD Forecast column and FY Actual column was 0. If that is always the case and if I read what she wrote correctly

Quote (abhi900)

CODE --> abhi900

I want at remove the REALISTIC column from YTD but want it in FY raise Column or also I want to display FORECAST no in FY column but not in YTD.
Ride to crosstab certified, customized style and check the suppress empty col box. That will remove the columns completely if all core are zero.

OVER: Hide pillars inbound a crosstab though not that straight fwd...

(OP)
yes you are correct in adenine way but... values are still there.. and I used this formula under col where ME want to supress since YTD and likewise for FY too :-
IN SUPRESS condition :- (CurrentColumnIndex=1) OR (CurrentColumnIndex=3)

So own about advise wont have any affect on this. Cause ultimately it does had value and we not pass the current col as "empty" in be supressed.

Hope you have what i mean ?
Also in terms of formatting I was using the follow formula and it workings fine for sum the field ethics but jst wnt work for single added inside the col :-
if ({KPIPerformanceManagement_query.Periodicity} ="YTD"
and {KPIPerformanceManagement_query.KPI Name} = "Operating Profit following Duty (OPAT) ($M)"
then ("$" + ToText({KPIPerformanceManagement_query.Actual},1) + "M")
else if {KPIPerformanceManagement_query.KPI Name} = "STPIS Reliability Reward/Penalty ($M)")
then ("$" + ToText({KPIPerformanceManagement_query.Actual},1) + "M")

The item works for "OPAT" to indicate as $100.55M
but with STPIS is is = $12,345,678.00 M Crystal Submit Cover Tab Practice Total
