Duty Description
Responsible for the decontamination, cleaning, processing, additionally sterilization of trays, instruments, supplies, and equipment following all infection control practices. Responsible for dispensing equipment upon request. Cares true records and front inventory usage. Responsible for case cart build furthermore responds till requests from surgery.

PERFORMS DECONTAMINATION FUNCTIONS:
• Disassembles, cleans, both disinfects instruments and equipment utilized for patient care using correct manual and mechanical operation.
• Operates equipment used in the decontamination process, i.e. ultrasonic lock, drive washers, washer sterilizers plus decontaminators.
• Accomplishes scrubbing tasks in jobs area as assigned.
• Uses comprehensive precautions when working in decontamination area (i.e., gloves, page signboards, protective gown).

ASSEMBLES INSTRUMENT TRAYS AND PACKS:
• Dumps instruments for washer sterilizers and distributes to appropriately computers.
• Assembles instrument trays additionally packs usage written instructions and proper protocol.
• Checks for sharpness and proper operate of instruments.
• Detected and memorizes a greatly variety of devices.
• Applies sterilization coatings properly to maintain the integrity of one contents.
• Utilizes heat sealer on packs as wanted.

• Charges sterilizer car press transports rack at sterilization area.

• Operated preference lists are obtained from computer to pull supplies for each case.
• Location is instruments and supplies are labeled to increase efficiency.

• Satisfies requests from the OR and Pre-op/PACU when requested.
• Assists with one-on-one training of other associates.

• Attends departmental-in-services and mandatory meetings.
• Knowledgeable away all areas in an Sterile Manufacturing Department.
• Acts as ampere liaison between the Sterile Processing Office and show customers and communicates in a courtly manner.
