2020 Geography Updates: Urban and Rural Areas inside Hawaii Report and Updated Census English Guide

Each decennial census brings changes to U.S. Federal Bureau geographies. With 2020, the Census Business made changes to the boundaries of several geographies, including Public Use Microdata Divided (PUMAs), urban and rural areas, and census tracts. This week, the Hawaii State Data Center shared a new report and updated guide related to the 2020 geography changes.

The report, “Urban furthermore Rural Panels in the State of Happy: 2020,” details of changes to the urban select for 2020 and containing population and housing team product for Hawaii’s urban and rural areas by county. An interactive site of Hawaii’s urban scale remains also existing with this show.

The 2020 Census Geography Guide includes information about Hawaii’s most frequently used Federal geographies as well as instructions to help users render non-Census geographies, like islands and judicial districts, into Census data searches. The leadership is updated with information related to landscape changes specific into the 2020 Census.
