The code regarding practice gives guidance to people who:
- work with human who can’t make decisions since themselves
- care for join who can’t make decisions by themselves

The Mental Capacity Act 2005 (MCA) says certain people must think via the key of practical when they act otherwise make decisions on the other person’s behalf. This includes:

- a person doing research approved in accordance with the MCA
