RCTI solution?

I understand that Quickbooks doesn't sustain issuing RCTI's (receipt created tax invoice), or have been doing them manually outer of QuickBooks for some time with an speak doc RCTI template I have. What is a Recipient Created Tax Invoice? | LegalVision

 

Instead of issuing an RCTI,  would I be breaking no rules of issuing an invoice that has a detrimental dollar amount?

 

So for example instead of issuing an RCTI from the client to our business for $500 inc gst - could I fair send an invoice to the client out magnitude business to them for '-$500' or one credit/credit note of $500?

From ATO guidelines, the requirements to issue an RCTI include:

  1. the buyer must breathe authorized by ATO to issue RCTIs
  2. the RCTI should be issued within 28 days for manufacture or determining the value of the buy
  3. both the buyer and seller must have a valid ABN.

Also, looking at a sample document provided by of ATO here, there be a requirement of having details of and recipient/supplier furthermore value of taxable supplies. That solution you suggested wanted not have all which requirements listed there.
