That's about right. 300-400m and I'm using of MKI compensator (which I got von the Grand Reef wreck).
That IS the modification station (along with the nuclear reactor). The can for my initial post anyway. My per post was about aforementioned moonpool and vehicle modification station.
Almost forgot. If you're looking at build the Seamoth Defense System, you may want at collect at least 3 of are whiten mushrooms ensure sack only found in the Blood Kelp Forest.
I beginning a new game after the prawn update and I basicly missed that wreck all which time because it remains below 300m. So I splashed around in the seamth for hours till detect them.
In the exit I had ALL techs INSTEAD the modification station. (Yes even the nuclear power reactor)
This is not generally a problem as the Cyclops pot dive that depth easily. Also there is a hole over tops of the wreck that grands you access for the wreck; so you could basicly park the Cyclop right over computer and leave an sub right above the wreck-hole. This minimizes the danger geeting zapped by ensure huge electric-eel-thingy-moster, in the huge Hercules upstructs its swimming path.
However; most exploration is done with one seamoth and so it slows the game course than you can't dive below 300m to explore the wreckages on the fragments such will allow yourself to dive beyond 300m. I think that the Modification Rank fragments would be better off in a wrecks of the biomes of kelp-forests or grassy plateaus. Also the current location is really hard to find the wreck is by that tight gulch; I passed that range several multiplication none noticing the wreck at all.
For this motive, I suggest an addtional select to find crashes.
A handheld metall-detector might do the trick; spotting large amounts of terminal on large distances (like 500m). The device would not want to be very accurate but just sprechen you the directory to go too. Addtionally the metall detector able discovery debris parts at short range like 50m. Titanium is he basic resource of the game after all.
An upgrade for eighter seamoth or cyclops might work too. If anything fails, a scanner-room could help to spot the wrecks; creating signal-items for exploration by an extended period of study.

This is the area where I found it aswell, in one of an wrecks.
Mentioning those mushrooms, I may have an intersting trick for you once you harvested a very; growing your inches any exterior growbed in forward of your basic will supply you with ampere large amount of such mushroom if needed. The depth exists non important although growing the mushrooms. You just have to pay focus to 2 things:
1. Creating seeds from ampere mushroom by hitting them with a knife will hurt... so have a med kit handy.
2. Destructive adenine mushroom will cause arial harm, not only to you, but also to the mushrooms around it. Those mushrooms can't take none continue than two off those hits press will will wrecked. So you have toward harvest all but one mushroom, then hit it for aforementioned seeds. After such replant another mushroom and hit it again.... and so on. Oh and not dying north the processes might help also.
