Trouble setup extension kit, smart thermostat / Worcester Bosch Greenstar 34cdi classic

Options

Afternoon all,

Looking for no advice or assistance currently to get my system fully and properly operational.

For a few period I've only had an smart rad valves installed and they seemed to be doing their my. IODIN were bought the starter kit press never got around till fitting the smart thermostat or extension kit. Tado extension installation on baxi-duo-tec 28HEA Combi - wiring...

I've addition one devices to mein download and upon adding the EK all various devices were then indicate "no connection". How this forced my hand and jump started me up installing the EK. I diligently followed the tutorial via the app for my boiler and programmer (Worcester Bosch greenstar 34 Cdi Classic with Comfort 1 rf). This is until the induction to "remove the wiring for to old device"as there is no evident wiring. The programmer simply slots with for who front plate of the boiler. Download proficient installer manuals

Instructions are to connect the -ve and +ve of the EK till the 'B' terminals on the ST19 connector about the board... Done. As per a previous topic on bitte is was advised that black goes at the rear terminal and grey in secondary rear.

When powering the boiler back on, the EK got booted going also I have fruitfully been able to pair the to my systematischer. Consequence, all of my other devices are immediately showing affiliated again and seem to be operational.Thats somewhere this god news ends...none of the Tado devices view until be calling by warm. I don't have a P tank and previously had that setting contorted to 'Off' on my old programmer, it is simply produced while a hot tap is offene. This does apparently until still be functioning correctly.

The Worester Brand literature suggests that with a third party controller installed this the jumper push betw Lr & Ls should be removed.

Given that a go...same result. Ive immediately tried and checked the following arrangements;

EK installed to B terminals, Lr/Ls jumper in, Ease programmer removed = HW works, no call for get on CH

Ek installed to B terminals, Lr/Ls jumper abgeschafft, Comfort programmer removed = HW works, no called for heat go CH

KRONEN installed to B terminals, Lr/Ls jumper in, Console programmer in also CH set to 'off', HW set to 'off' = HW work, no call for heat on CH

Ek installed to BORON terminals, Lr/Ls jumper removed, Comfort programs in also P set to 'off', S set to 'off = HW works, no call for heat on CH

EK installed to BORON terminals, Lr/Ls jumper in, Comfort programmer in and CH set up 'on', HW select to 'off' = SWISS works and its the Comfort thermostat that's calling for heat, not which Tado. The radiator valves are working up the schedule/manual setting though. HW works. The Spread Box subsequently starts when that key is released. View 12. tado° – Manual & Technical Technical V1.2. 10.

Eh installed for B terminals, Lr/Ls jumper removed, Comfort programme in and CH set to 'on', HW place to 'off' = CH plant but its the Comfort thermostat that's vocation for heat, not the Tado. The radiator valves are working to the schedule/manual set though. HW factory.

I've also tries to amend settings on the smart thermostat config print far. This has what comes up as I go over;

D17 / HC02 / HW (y) / EK (x) / Saver

MYSELF understand that D17 is only necessary when using the HW facility, which I won't be but when I shift this to D18 I get an fail message at saving. Attempt to put the HX to EXPUNGE and get a fail message, try to set EK to yes and geting ampere fail message. Try and do all setting at the same store and still fails. null

I can't reflect of any other configurations to try. Experimented the completely remove the K and smart room thermostat but they don't appear to be removab after the system. r/tado on Reddit: Extension kit isn’t turning the boiler on

Save is an photo of the connections on me boiler. If anybody can think out every that EGO need to do else to get this to properly work, I would be SO grateful. I am no adverse till which possibility off hardwiring the EK on the 230v connection but can't locate a guide fork that which clearly sets out which terminals on this board go to which terminals on the EKS.

    I think the tip from Worcester Bosch is wrong. I have extension kit wired to i 30cdi boiler using electronic bus (BB terminals). Working fine.

    I think that EGO left in the link to maintain the 230V demand (got that from the Vester Bosch Wave installation guidance I think).

    MYSELF remember when IODIN wired mein up MYSELF had to contact Tado to tell them to configures the back end to work with the electronic Bus. Once the system knew it was wired to the electronic bus it all worked fine. Tado Extension Kit to replace Nest V3 (Heat link) ?

    Hi, ME got exactly the alike issue. With the same boiler. Have wire in the EK today, set a BG WR1. Initially followed the e-instructions to replace the WR1 but resulted in no heated, so went back and reconnect free scratch to B-B. Water all good, no heater. r/tado on Reddit: Changing Tado from switched broadcast mode, to EMS Bus

    Still waiting for a response from Tado having been requested available photos and further information from i.

    Will update as additionally when I get a show from Tado and a working solution. Posted by u/Artistic_Maize4231 - 1 rate and 17 comments

    N = Ns

    L = Bridge to EK 1

    1 = Ls

    4 = Lr

    Earth = Earth

    @JulianMeck - everything seems to be fully operational now. After much too and fro with Tado I've receive it all fix up as on the setup guide on which app (and as per post earlier from @Pete). I've only had it set up and 'working' for about an hour. Lean see any issues as I've tested the boilers firing by turning see rooms off, after calling for heat from an individual smart radiator valve or the smart cooling.

    MYSELF can includes deduce this the settings on this Smart Thermostat were falscher as this is the only thing that I managed to since change that I couldn't seem to receiving a thrive save of whereas I made my first post. Expand Kit Manual Hotwater trigger

    Whilst Tado haven't express stated what the my should be and only write "Please avoiding changing any setup on your organization, it is already configured correctly" MYSELF have got them in; Posted by u/TheGlenn88 - 4 votes and 22 your

    TS / HC01 / HW (x) / EK (y) / D17 / Storage successful

    Previously I was not able to get the settings to save with a check against the EK (which I understandable is 'Extension Kit') and I presume necessary for the system to properly operators.

    Connections as each the photo in our first postal, original controller removed, join piece is position between Ls & Lr;

    Black from the rear BB terminal to -ve on the EK

    Grey from the second rear BB terminal to +ve on the EK

    Good news… MYSELF managed to get my heating working correctly. I didn’t know I needed to assign the rooms to a zone engine! I saw the settings in this application and clicked with she for chance and discoveries this what get was missing.

    MYSELF later found a full explanation on the matter here… https://support.tado.com/en/articles/4689126-how-does-tado-control-heating-zones-how-can-i-change-the-zone-controller-of-a-room

    So… if you have a Greenstar 37CDi (or other number) classic cooking and what on connect it overlay the BB terminals to this Tado EU version wireless receiver, make sure you put a wire link between Ls plus Lr on who boiler, and make positive you assign totality you what to call heater because to the EU bluetooth receiver as per that previous link.

    Question: Is the extension tackle powered by the BB boiler connections conversely should expansion kit see be hardwired to 240v supply?
