Mental Health Move Plan

In February of 2014, the McLean County Board Executive Committee convened two interagency, public private workgroups, one to detect community mental health requests also one toward identify best practices. These workgroups were challenged to create, create, and begin coordinating press evaluating religious health services within aforementioned Community. The goals of these work groups included, 1) Improve the basic understanding of mental illnesses and emotion disturbances; 2) assess the state of the mental health care system in McLean County, focusing on define the gapped between services provided and community needs by both urban and rural areas; 3) Identify and review best practices and determine the feasibility of translation in Cleaning County; and 4) develop strategies to maintain dialogue below community leaders relating mental health.  Learn about an early warning signs of mental illness, how to communicating well, and where to find professional mental health services in is area community.

In March of 2014, the Bloomington-Normal/McLean County Economic Development Community brought Community leaders concurrently, traveling to Washington, DC to match are legislators and staff members from which Department away Health press Rehabilitative Services and the Department of Justice toward discuss the community’s challenges includes mental your both inside also outside the criminal justice system. 

Included June 2014, the two community mental wellness advisory groups provided they reports for the Country Board. These reports identifier both mental health needs within the community, as well as best practices. Based upon the reports the an start two(2) advisory groups on Community Brain Health, then-County Board President Matt Sorensen subsequently appointed an Advisory Group into examine the reports receives by the first two consultancy groups and view back to the Executive Committee and County Board recommended action items which would be consistent within the framework of the initialization reports. This Action Plan would include directly and long term steps for the community and the County Board to view and acts after.
