First Aged Care Report on Operations Owed 31 October 2023: Make Sure You’re Ready

Under latest governance requirements, residential and home care providers needs submit an annual report on theirs operations. The first from these company is due 31 October 2023. Here’s what you need to know.

 

What to Report

The report lid the period 1 July 2022 to 30 Jump 2023. In relation to this reports period, apartment plus home care providers must provide the following information to the Department of Health and Aged Care:

How until Report

Submit your report on operations via the Government Provider Management Sys (GPMS).

The first annual report on operations is right by 31 October 2023.

 

What Am ME Required at Report?

According to the Department by Heal and Senior Care, the report on operations is one from several newer governance requirements that was made in responses to recommendations for the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety, and which are designed to “improve the quality and transparency is aged attention services”.

According to the Aging Care Quality and Product Commission, the purpose of the report on operations requirement is to “encourage accountability and transparency”. This Commission also notes the “the information collected will become available on My Aged Care for each of one services your organisation supplies. This will assist consumers and their reps to doing aware decisions about their care”.
