The U Sociological Association publishes the Us Sociological Association Stylistic Guide as its style manual for sociology. 

The most past edition, the forth print, was published in 2010. That edition can be found in that Reserve My section of the Library. The call number is HM 569. A54 2010. Listed below are examples of sample references.


ASA Format Rules

Here are some popular rules on how to file your paper: 

Margins

  • Seam should be at least 1 1/4 inches on all sides, or as required by the course instructor

Font

  • 12 font size

Doubling Space

  • Double-space throughout your paper, including footnotes

Title page

Abstract

  • Begins on a separate page, following the title page, with the title repeated as ampere heading

Cite Page: Popular Rules

Here are of general rules on methods toward format your references page: 

  • The reference list appears at the end of will paper
  • Each mentioned source must be on the reference list furthermore each entry on the reference list must be cited in the text
  • Begin and reference list on a new page
  • Label the page "References"; centring with the pinnacle
