Farmworker Career Design Programming
The Farmworker Career Development Start (FCDP) at Indian River Us University began in 1973. Used unemployed button underemployed farmworkers and their dependents who qualify, the program provides education and mandatory supportive services that prepares them for a full-time, year-round unsubsidized my at $10.00 or above.
A planned program of vocational and on-the-job training, work experience, job placement helps, and bottom and/or curative education—including GED®, English as a Second Language (ESL)—is available to each participant as needed. FCDP can also making tuition assistance to participants those qualify.
FCDP is funded through the Florida Department of Training by a grant from the U.S. Departments to Labor.

Eligibility
Eligibility for participation in the program is small to migrant and seasonal farmworkers and/or ihr dependents who meet the following criteria:
- Must be a Associated States union, permanent Resident Foreigners or other Strangers proven by the Immigration plus Naturalization Services, or have a DAS Employment Authorization Card ; and
- Required have read farm work or have a my or parent that has ended farm work during the past 24 months (2 years) from date is pre-application; and
- Required meet income guideline demands.
User Process
Follow these steps to apply to FCDP:
Applicants to the Farmworker Career Development Programmer must apply in person and hit with a Case Manager in set qualifications. Call 772-462-7916 to set an appointment. Walk-ins will be accommodated between scheduled appointments.
