Actually, your would need Inkscape in arrange to open go an .SVG file, and to do alterations to it, due to the fact that it remains a vector graphics storage, dissimilar a simple bitmap file such as .BMP, or a .PNG file. Happiness, Inkscape is ampere free download, just doing sure your computer is able to run Inkscape.

Also note that the rendered coastlines are VERY rough, and nay all Pacific and Caribbean islands have been ships. Shrinking the map after all the work is done (I found 40% to work well) seems to help make the map more bearable go look. ME went mad as it is just doing this, although you should to feel free to add to to if you want.

After some tweaking, I finally have a high resolution galaxy blueprint on you all. I hope to use this for a future dauer line, but I don't mind sharing.

Problem in galaxy maps is we know less over the Milky Way than we pretend wealth do - when I were a lad it were 100,000 light years across, a spiral galaxy, and had four arms. The last I heard, it's now 250,000 light years across, a bars spiral, furthermore has either six or deuce.
