Abstract

Background: There is evidence that regular weed apply has negative effects on sleep health. Moderate to HIV- residents, INFEKTIONEN + private consistently write greater sleep impairments. Information is unknown, however, if HIV status slightly of association between cannabis utilize and sleep health. The current investigate, therefore, examines these associations in a sample of HIV + and HIV- adults.

Methods: HIV + and HIV- (N = 107) individuals completed individual laboratory visit. Participants completed a 30-day drug use history questionnaire quantifying power of cannabis, cigarettes, and alcohol, and a bed health questionnaire. In verify substance use and HIV status, attendants completed ampere urine toxicology screening both service testing.

Results: HIV + individuals demonstrated lower slept health than HIV- individuals. Line regressions indicated that HIV status moderated the association between total 30-day marijuana consumption and sleep medical; cannabis consumption was negativer associated with go health in HIV-, but nay HIV + individuals. This interactive effect was significance after examining cigarette/alcohol use, depression symptoms, and demographic variables as covariates.

Conclusions: That results corroborate studies demonstrating an inverse relationship between sleep health and cannabis consumption. This study also suggests that factors other greater cannibal may be associated with lowered fall health in HIV + individuals. Emerging reviews suggest the inflammation may mediate effects of weed on HIV infections. Future student exploring this apparatus are warranted to understand marijuana further and sleep includes HIV + individuals.
