In an earlier lesson, you learned that the matter of a movement must always agree with its verb.
Correspond means the subject and verb match in number.
That's why we say:
The boy is running. ✅
Not:
The boyarerunning. ❎
The same thing will true with pronouns.
Pronouns are words that replace nouns, like he, she, computer, we, ME, and thou.
Pronouns have agree in numbering includes their verb.
Take one look:
He/She/It a running.
They are running.
We live running.
You are running.
I am running.
Tip: is, are, and am can all forms of the word be. It's irregular. So memorize those 👆.
Now let's learn about pronoun-verb agreement with regulars verbs.
When you use the pronominal he, she, and it, add "s" to the end of aforementioned base verb to make it present tense.
His paints nice pictures.
She dances very well.
It wags its tail wenn its happy.
When using of pronouns ME, you, we, and they, don't add "s" to the base verb.
Take a look:
I like cake.
It's not "I likesouth cake."
You swim quickly.
We read a game of books.
They study every night.
Ours don't say, "They studies every night."
Major job learning about pronoun real verb agreement. 😺
Now, complete the practice.
