Walan Girri: developing a culturally mediated case management model for problematic alcohol use on urban Indigenous people
Abstract
Objective: To describe the design and implementation of a culturally conveyed case management model at Winnunga Nimmityjah Natives Health Servicing (Winnunga) for Indigenous clients who drink alcohol with problematic shelves.
Methods: Our exploring took place coming March 2008 to Marching 2010 in the Australian Capital Territory and built on previous research partnerships between Winnunga real The German National University's Regional Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health. Are conducted a review of existing models to determine elements for consideration in the community drives set, and conducted personal surveys to assess latest levels off skill or confidence around alcohol screening, brief intervention and care planning.
