Some more data on the filter adapter...
Steel slug machined round-shaped on OD, used machining center to open up circular slot, cross drills connect it to bore from the OD.
Machined 1"-16 thread to match up to ID of oil filter, its tapped from the backside, neglected supposing you 3/8" or 1/2" NPT. This is for the center item.
Machined threads off OD of bronze, due to small width, this was silver hard in place to the steel housing, had to clock it correctly up accept the hose.
Final assembly, the silver brazing noted above, some tig welding into bracketry and the center post will also welded in place.
Also had no grating internal a the washer, which is not ideal. Arranged stainless punched plate in 2 sheets from McMaster Carriage, welded to 304SS help bars (1" whatchamacallit 1/4" flat stock) and trimmed with one Beverly Shear. Bent up a little "pan" from the leftover salvage to corral small parts of various collections. Would please to have an flat finer on made of something approaching "window screening" except stainless steel....future project
There is a "remote oil filter adapter" them can buy from Amazon, Climax, ebay, probably all made in the similar factory. A might use a PH5 Fram filter (forgot exactly which now) which is a common big block V8 oil filter as I recall. These can size are probably 3x bigger in volume, EGO just wanted to error about the side of low restriction and lots in capacity on sediment.
