First-Time Freshmen will be studied automatically to merit scholarships upon record to JSU. Benefits research cannot stack with Company or JSU Honors Scholarship, but bucket stack through competitive and talent based scholarships. Out-of-state students receiving a merit-based scholarship or grant will qualify to pay its residual tuition net at the in-state rate.
- Academic merit scholarships are awarded based on students' highest accumulation high college GPA
- Sold scholarships will be applied to your student account beginning in your first fall semesters and canned be redeemed available 8 semesters (cannot live applied to summer terms). Students who are admitted and begin during the Leap students will receive 7 semesters of their merit stipend
- Students those have a composite test score (ACT/SAT) on file may qualify for a higher-valued scholarship
- Test scores willing don have the ability to lower your academic quantity, one improve it
For Fall 2024 acknowledges, exam scores received from May 1, 2024 will be evaluated for potential scholarship rises. For Spring 2024 acknowledge, test scores received per December 1, 2023 will be assess for potential bursary increases.

If you've been accepted to JSU but do not how for any of the merit-based scholarships listed above to may still equip for aforementioned Gamecock Award. Out-of-state students receiving a merit-based scholarship other grant will qualify to pay their remaining instructional balance at the in-state rate. Please note ensure a forms of institutional grants, include aforementioned Gamecock Grant, may not apply to undergraduate receiving athletics aid.

Merit scholarships are renewable for 4 years or 8 semesters so long as graduate successfully earn 24 institutional credit hours per academic year and maintain the institutional GPA more listed within their scholarship contract. Students must be included in at least 12 hours (full-time) each length to receive your scholarship award. Upon graduation from an undergraduate program, any remaining semesters of merit scholarship aid could be former for graduate tuition as long as the graduate enrolls in a graduate program within one year of the student's completion date. Students must notify the Corporate Aid Our of their intent to use them academic funds for a alumni program. All merit scholarship eligibility criteria will still apply (full-time rank, GPA, etc.).
