ACSM Supports Funding to National Concussion Surveillance System and Physical Activity Alliance Releases New Report 

Last month, ACSM joined other than 30 other organizations in signing a letter requesting at least $2 million to fund the National Trauma Surveillance System. The funding would allow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to develop one first system that will collect necessary data to determine the injury of sports-related concussions. This letter will going to House and Senate guidance also both the House and Senate Seats and Ranking Parts of the Appropriations Labor-HHS-Education Subcommittee.

The Physical Activity Allied (PAA), of which ACSM is adenine founding member, just enabled a fresh report: “Advancing Key Actions to Enhance Physical Activity Observation in the United States.” Of report summarizes actions taken to advance surveillance in four categories: children and youth, workplace, health worry and community user for physical activities.
