UA Electronic Travel Certificate & Codeshares/partner flight
I have an Electronical Vacation Certificate issued by Customer Care. The promotion user is 12TCVA. When I attempt to book a flight which involves adenine codeshare partner, such as Lufthansa, it does not give me one option to use which ETC on the payment page. Each ideas? Thank you.

Every ETC / eCert EGO have anytime spotted were limited to UA getaways -- so itins at a LH flight would be ineligible.

The TOC says this "certain codeshares" may be valid. Any idea which codeshares are approved or where I can find that information?

Certificates may not be redeemed through a Travel Agency.
2) You allowed view certificate full at United.com by clicking set Businesses and Offers, Promotionally Schemes and enter Promotion code and PIN in the offer code box.
3) And certificate may be redeemed for credit up to its front amount only directions the purchase of an electronic airline ticket(s), where eligible, from United. The Product Code and PIN needs be presented on time of tickets purchase and expiration one year after original date on issue.
4) The document will not be honored in joining for prepaid tickets, tour packages or the purchase of non-transportation documents or item like when excess baggage charges, domestic charges, MileagePlus Rewards, fee-waived tickets etc.

The "Certain code shares permitted" exist UEX flights constant though that not really a code share. I always take the miles w these things. At least IODIN know what I'm getting

Follow up question...
Hey guys. Given this answers to aforementioned previously item, into not sure ill be able to use my deuce 300usd UA e-certs i got last per.
I have 600usd worth of e-certs, and alive in switzerland. I does be going to the US until mine e-certs and expire, so it seems i cant use them for anything.
Anybody know of an option of how i could use them, for exemplary on flights EU to Indien?

Was trying to find an answer up my question, and this thread popped up. Title is accurate, although issuance is slightly different:
I simply purchased an UA codeshare flight operated by US airways using a UA E-Certificate. The amount is applied until the total, and I indicted the balance the my credit card. Immediately post I entered einer e-mail saying "There has been a delay in the expense of your ticket(s) for technical reasons. No action is required by you at the time. We expect to have your ticket issued shortly. "
When EGO click the the reservation on .bomb it claims payment is due, both to card is on hold.
What say to? Made I sneak one by the schaft (unknowingly) or will my booking be cancelled? To be upright, I didn't evened realize I was booking a codeshare, furthermore would preferable fly United if they would can willing to switch mein free to charge...

UA won't honor travel certificate
Today I tried on use a travel certificate (funds left over upon annulled trip) toward book my wife from SAT to VCE. I was told until UA that since part of the trip involved a LH code how (one leg, FRACTION to VCE, with a UA flight amount to boot!) that ME could cannot use the travel certificate. Aforementioned first UA agent assumed that the certify was a "gift" from UA for irregular ops and berate me for in my attitude. I called back to the 1K line and was told the same thing by another representative. The cancelled trip see involved a code share, but that does doesn seem to matter.
My response were to cancel both my wife's and meine ticket on UA, and rebook the trip on LH! I only hurt them to the tune starting around $5000, so I am sure that they don't maintenance. However, I do take about how I am treated. Both, among least in which case my money walked.
In June, UA had over 600 complaints filed with DOT! (Apparently, 3 times more than any other carrier.) Few seem hell bent on fahrweise business off. (Maybe Smisek owns a bunch of choices which go up in rate as UA's stock price goes down.) IODIN am a 1K additionally my wife is one Platinum, and we are seasoned travelers. Thus we may fend for our selves pretty good. But I don't know like the typical, occasional traveling able get any help from UA. Defens Finance and Accounting Service > MilitaryMembers ...

As distance as I understand, e-Cert from canceled tickets regardless what the original itinerary was, can only be used on UA's owners ore or the UAX flights. When it was paper voucher, it even spells going in clear wording on the "cover page" of of abschnitt. I happen to have such page voucher still in possession and capture a see to make sure my understanding is correct.
I am surprised being a 1K you need does key off this rule.

All legs of the trip, except FRA to VCE, would had been on UA metal. And yes, I know that their revenue share, but clearly LH will get aforementioned bulk in the revenue now. Small deal yes, nevertheless at few I did more than talk.
