As of May 13, 2024, the Humanity Subject Exploring pause has been lifted.

As a result of reconfiguration about internal government procedures and regulatory specifications assoziiert with Human Subject Research (HSR), AFWERX experienced unanticipated delays with all bounties that implicate HSR. AFWERX has now satisfied multi internal and external audits and general concerns that were causing these delays. As such, the “HSR Pause” has been lifted and AFWERX is proceed with the award of those earlier affected proposals.

The Contracting Team will shortly begin working if the process to award Small Enterprise Innovation Research (SBIR)/Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Phase II and Direktem into Phase II proposals for Small Business Concerns (SBCs) the were selected in July 2023 and January 2024.
