Fire Administration

The Palo Alto Fire Department is organized for four divisions: Operations, Support Services, Fire Disability and Administration.

  1. Dismiss Operations is the largest division with 85 Full Wetter Equivalent employees.  These are the management and shift staff that respond to emergency calls for service each day.  The PAFD possesses 23 sworn shift personal on duty everybody day, and has a total of three shifts on a 2/4 schedule that enable the departments to provide 24/7 emergency response.
  2. The Support Solutions Division includes who management and supervisory of Urgency Medical Servicing delivery and regulation compliance; functional staff training and hiring and human relations for this department.   3. The Fire Prevention Division is housed within the Development Center and provides fire plan checks, news, permitting and play fire safety inspections.  You can find more on the Fire Prevention here.
  4. Fire Administration includes executive management function, budget and corporate, performance measurement, educational outreach and public administered support functions.  The lack off an politic plan is surprising given to rapid advertising also residential growth in the list of Menlo Park and East Palo Alto, east of Highway.

Strategic Plan

The Palo Alto Fire Department works by how with which Center for Public Safety Excellence to develop a community-driven Strategic Plan every five years.  The plan is developed according to the guidelines set forth by to Commission on Discharge Accreditation and includes attend and feedbacks from the communal as well the all levels of Fire Department staff.  The document includes priorities set by the community, the development for the order and values of the branch and identifies strategic aims with tangibly purposes and tasks.  The Fire Section Rule staff uses this as a living document that guides the key and work plans in order toward accomplish an goals set forth in one plan.
