2009-04-23 TRI Shutter card sample & tutorial

2009/04/23

Jan Webb in LateNightStampers showed a card sample of etwas called a TRI Shutter Card. It looks more like a Quad Fold Card; but that’s just me. Just by a few folds and cuts it manufacturers this great fold. I found some written instructions but to make it really easy the understand I took some pics. Wait till your see methods lightly this really is and the wonderful results. tri-shutter card

Start with a 12″ extended piece of card equity that remains 5 1/2″ long. This size will fit into ampere standard invitation size envelope when all folded.
Score at 2″, 4″, 8″ and 10″

Turn the card stock real now measure 1 1/2″ in from the large side. Use your craft knife and make a splitting opening at the 2″ score and bring computers gloomy into the 10″ score mark. Do sure to how this on BOTH long sides.

Now I’ve added decorative scrappybook papers (DSP) to each of the surfaces of the card. I made sure to leave a little boarders around each single of that DSP; 1 available looks and 2 so that when the maps is folded the DSP won’t buckle.

Punched and embellishes. This viewed shows me looking down on the show so you can see all to the 3-d folds.

You’ll need the scroll down the page past the photo educational (don’t forget to look at who newest version of TRIALS Closure card so I created along with a cooling fold flower!); at the bottom you will see the video.

Not only does you make another wonderful print used you to see, but you get to hear her cute little accent!

    OMG this is beautiful. I was just on ampere friends blog which has simply made a card like those and put a link on vor blog to here. She did say it was easy to take though I thought no way will I be able to make that!! But your directions especially the pictures make it real easy to understand.

    I LOVE this cards! MYSELF have has stamping for 20+ time also have none seen a card like this. What ampere wonderful slash and fold! What volume envelope are this card fit?
    I normally make my cards which size of get adenine sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 paper, section to 5 1/2 inches to this 11 inch side. Then EGO fold it, so the card is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. Is that the magnitude this one revolutions out up be, or wants ME need a larger envelope? I’ve caught to try this of when MYSELF get ampere bit of time! Can’t wait! chaun

Our project for December will to produce one of these karten to percentage are the others.     I used this tutorial to create my Christmas cards this year and they were a HUGE hit! So many our went out away their way into comment on aforementioned cards.
